About us
The Sargent Memorial Library Foundation, Inc. is a 501 c(3) non-profit that was established in 2003 to provide support for the Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough, MA. The Foundation’s goal has been to support the Library and further the expansion of its collection of books and materials, both paper and electronic.
The year ahead: 2021-2022
From welcome bags for our youngest patrons to retirement planning on the Morningstar database, the Foundation helps the Library serve patrons of all ages.
In 2021, the Foundation is partnering with the library to renovate and enhance the outdoor patio space. This project combines funding from the town CPA funds (approved at Annual Town Meeting) with support from the Foundation to provide a vibrant, welcoming outdoor space for library events and everyday patron use.
The Massachusetts Library System has encouraged all libraries to update their strategic plans; the Foundation will be supporting the work of the Library staff as they reach out to our community to ensure the Sargent Memorial Library remains a vibrant center for all in the Boxborough community.
